Recently Divorced and getting even:

Pete said, I was divorced a year ago and am struggling to move forward! I want to be wealthy…if becoming rich can make her feel that she made a mistake, I want to do it!

Here’s what I suggested to Pete:

Your desire to get even with your spouse is not the type of motivation that can ever make you wealthy.

Only positive emotions like enthusiasm and joyful anticipation can empower a person and move one toward becoming rich.

Resentment is a negative emotion - a power-draining emotion that takes you in the opposite direction from the one you want to go.

No matter how justified one feels in planning revenge, the one that gets burned is the one who builds the fire in their own heart.

If you are sincere in your desire to be wealthy, your first step in that direction would be to forgive your ex-spouse, and the second step would be choosing to BE wealthy.

Once you've chosen, you can begin to imagine what BEING wealthy would look like for you. It's that vision that will move you down the path to wealth.
