Hello %$first name$% and welcome to this week’s
edition of my newsletter. If you remember at the end of last week’s
edition I posed a question to you. If you don’t remember I have included
it below.
Here again is a question: Are you tired and fed up with
feeling powerless—fed up with feeling like the victim of your circumstances? Are
you ready yet to choose your way out of that box and BE you in an exciting new
way?

The only way out of our current circumstance is to work
through what is not working for us, and the way out begins with a reality check.
It begins with us taking a long hard look at our circumstances, and being
willing to admit that we are not happy with how things turned out.
Notice that no problem is ever solved until we have first
admitted to ourselves that we DO, in fact, have a problem. So, the first step is
acknowledging the existence of our problem, and then taking responsibility for
having created it.
How did we create the problem? We did that through an
unwise BEING choice, whether it was yesterday, last week, last year, or even
while we were still children. That’s right; we created this reality in which the
problem persists.
However, when we take an objective look at the problem we
can see that the real truth of the situation is that we did create this problem
to begin with. Please notice that if we continue to look at the situation
through the eyes of someone who is having this problem thrust upon them, we will
be unable to see the true cause of our problem.
If we are seeing ourselves as a victim of our
circumstances, the victim’s attitude in us will not allow us to learn the truth.
So, if our ego has assumed the role of victim, we will need to take over the
controls. In order to do a reality check, the Real Us must supervise the
inventory process.
Then, once we have taken a serious look at our current
circumstances and if we found them lacking, we will want to accept full
responsibility for having created the reality in which those undesirable
conditions are now the standard.
Believe me, continued attachment to the “why is this
happening to me” attitude will only give us more reasons to feel like a victim.
But once we realize that we have created this mess with an
erroneous BEING choice—in that moment of revelation—we will regain our power of
choice. We will realize in that “ah ha” moment, that we have what it takes to
make a new decision and make our way out of the problem.
Our objective for doing this reality check is a
motivational nudge—a powerful reason for choosing out of our box into far better
circumstances.
To effect any change of circumstance, it will be necessary
for us to change our mind about whom we are—and that is a transformation in
consciousness, and the only way out of our current box. Once we have chosen, we
will have been transformed, as the Apostle Paul said,”…by the renewing of our
mind”.
Have a super weekend and I look forward to
talking with you next time.
