Greetings, and Welcome to the next edition of my
newsletter. I hope you have enjoyed a week filled with opportunities and
success. In last week's newsletter I examined how ego resistance often
times sabotages our efforts to make changes in our lives. I also briefly
mentioned the importance of Powerpacts, and how being a part of one will
provide the foundation of support necessary to not only maintain the
momentum to continue towards your goal, but also to ultimately reach
your goal.
Transformation is the key, if we want the quality of
our life to change for the better we must first change our mind about
who we are. In order to change what we have in our life we must first
change the "rules" by which we live our lives. The "rules" that I refer
to here are simply the consciousness you have chosen for yourself. We
are a product of what we believe, and not what we have in our life right
now. Before life can get any better we will have to change our mind
about what we believe. Once we have changed our reality concepts,
we will have been transformed, and what we want will come into our life
without our realizing what is happening. Of course we won't fully
believe this could be the simple until we have proven it to ourselves
through manifesting the results we want.
So What is a Powerpact? A Powerpact is a
support group, made up of at least two individuals of like minds who
meet for the common purpose of mutual support. The word "Powerpact"
combines two words that help to illustrate the purpose of the group
which is to support and empower each other through each person's
individual transformations in consciousness. But the Powerpact is much
more than that! It is actually an awesome power source for each member
of the group to draw on. A great force called into BEING by their coming
together which allows each of the members to tap into the power of
Spirit.
The miracle of transformation will take place during
each Powerpact meeting and this happens because the partners we have
chosen to be in our Powerpact will create the space of unconditional
love for us. Having the ability to work through issues in an environment
of unconditional love is the true catalyst for change. To change the
quality of our life, we must change who we are being. But before we can
get from where we are now to where we want to be in consciousness we
must make where we are now okay. Strange as it may seem, before we can
change who we are being we must first make it ok not to change. The
Powerpact can be one of the most powerful tools we use for dealing with
ego resistance.
To receive optimal results from being a member of a
Powerpact it is important to meet at least once a week to discuss what
issues each member may be working on. The weekly meetings are also an
opportunity to recharge our batteries. It is also an opportunity to
celebrate successes and discuss any ego resistance that maybe surfacing
against any changes happening in life.
Our greatest need for support will be at those times
when our ego has us backed into a corner and in an emotional funk. Our
Powerpact partners are there to remind us that we are not our ego and we
will be sufficiently empowered by their support to make it past our
ego's fears and self doubts.
Here are a few guideline in creating a new Powerpact.
It is important that each member feels that they are suitable for one
another as part of a mutual support group. There must also be a place
and time that will fit everyone's schedule, this can simply be arranging
a convenient time for everyone to meet on the phone. Each member of the
Powerpact will need to have an understanding of the true purpose for
meeting. I would suggest having a "trail run" meeting with a new
Powerpact group. This will allow everyone the opportunity to decide if
the group is right for them. The test for any Powerpact is whether we
feel empowered or do we like ourselves more as a result of our
participation in the group.
This has been just a brief overview of Powerpacts. I
am including the link to Chapter 22 of my book, "To God Or As God" which
explains this concept in further detail. I hope the newsletter has
sparked your interest in forming your own Powerpact. Perhaps it has
given you suggestions on improving the group you already belong to. I
hope you have a relaxing and safe weekend.
