RICHBITS Series Article-Bonus
Issue

A camel through the eye of a needle?
According to our Christian bible, Christ is reported to have said, It
be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man
to enter the Kingdom of God.
And
since a live camel, quite obviously, could not possibly pass through the eye
of a sewing needle, one would assume if he took that metaphor literally, a
rich man could not possibly enter the kingdom. But that’s not what Christ
meant, not at all!
You
might want to stop using the camel metaphor as your excuse for choosing not
to be rich. Christ was not really telling us rich people don’t go to heaven,
or riches are evil and rich people are the bad guys.
His
metaphor had an entirely different meaning at the time —a meaning far
different than what we’ve been led to believe by those who’ve misinterpreted
it. What did He mean? Before I explain, let's look at three of Christ's
metaphors in combination.
Christ said:
“The kingdom of God is within thee”
And He said:
“Seek ye first the kingdom and all else shall be added unto thee”
But He also said,
" It
be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich
man to enter the Kingdom"
I'm sure you've heard “the camel” metaphor many times.
But, what does it really mean --
what does it mean to you?
That camel metaphor begins to make sense
-- once you've learned that the inner
walls of many cities, back when Christ said that, had an opening shaped
like the eye of a needle – an opening so small a fully loaded camel
could not enter. So, a rich man who wanted his favorite camel with him
in the inner city, would have had to, first, unload that camel.
camel through the eye of
a needle
metaphor.
But let’s start at the
top and learn to understand the meaning of all three metaphors
Since you are an individualization of
God, it follows that “ the
kingdom of God”
for you would be in your heart. The
kingdom of which Christ spoke is, therefore, that warm fuzzy, feel good,
feeling that shows up for you in the form of peace, inner joy, happiness
and your expressed enthusiasm for life.
Once you’ve accepted that your heart
felt feelings of peace, joy, happiness and enthusiasm are, in fact, “the
kingdom” in you, you can then surmise that the
“ Seek
ye first”
metaphor is telling us that we must
first enter the kingdom before attempting any manifestation of out of
the box results.
I’m interpreting this bible metaphor to
mean we can have anything we want from life if we begin the manifesting
process out of that warm fuzzy can-do feeling in our heart.
But the third,
“camel through the eye of a needle”,
metaphor, says we can’t enter the
kingdom as a rich man, loaded down with our riches. To enter the
kingdom, we’d have to leave our riches behind. And what you may not have
realized in interpreting this metaphor is that YOU are the rich man in
Christ’s metaphor.
You may not agree with the idea that
you are rich, but the truth is – your riches will be whatever you’ve
become attached to in life.
Whatever or whomever you think you need that you can’t live without is
your form of riches. Also who you are BEING now is your riches – and
that includes your self concept, your beliefs, your story, your
attachments and your attitude.
According to Christ’s
“Seek ye first”
metaphor, if you have a goal you must begin the manifesting process with
a visit to your inner kingdom of peace, love, joy, happiness and
enthusiasm.
And according to the camel metaphor, you won’t be entering that kingdom
loaded down with problems and or attachments.
Remember, Christ said,
"A rich man has as much chance of entering the kingdom
as a camel going through the eye of a needle."
And you are
that rich man or woman and before you enter the kingdom you must unload
your camel.
To solve your problem,
To have your life come to BE the way you've always wanted it, you must
rediscover your inner power (enter the kingdom) so that you can make the new
BEING commitment necessary for manifesting the reality of your problem
solved.
What you must see from this discussion, is that
finding your inner power to make your new BEING
commitment is the entering of the kingdom
as per that bible quote.
The load on
your camel is
whatever you're
attached to:
·
Your poverty
·
Your
victim story
o
I’m not good enough
o
Not smart enough
o
Life is hard
o
No matter how hard I try…
·
The relationship that’s not
serving you
·
The job you don’t like
·
Your anger
·
Your
resentment
Any one or all of these are the load on
your camel's back
– your attachment to poverty is your
form of your riches!
In my opinion, you'll probably need help
