Hi %$firstname$%,
Welcome to this
week's edition of my newsletter. Last week we discussed "the Power of NO".
This week we will complete our review of Chapter 8 of "BEING The Solution"
and discuss:
The Power
Switch
The governing
principle that determines what our lives will be like is this: The
BEING Principle - We
become what we think about. Our thoughts have greater power than we
may
have imagined. That's true only because we have not yet realized that
we are each an individualization of God.
The power switch that turns on that great power in us
is the phrase "I am". And since almost every thought we think is an, "I am" thought,
we unconsciously use our power switch hundreds of times each day. Even
when we say, "I don't like pumpkin pie", we are making an, "I am"
statement. We are choosing who we will be relative to pumpkin pie.
So, changing the quality of our lives must begin with
the realization that each and every thought we think, throughout the day,
has the power to keep us in our box or set us free. Those thoughts make
us who we are. Isn't it time we took charge of our thinking?
Adding power
to our thoughts
Some thoughts
are more powerful than others . The powerful thoughts we think are the
ones to which we have attached strong feelings. A slight uneasy feeling
is one type of worry; being afraid is a much more powerful thought because
it has the emotion of fear giving it power.
On the positive side of the emotional scale joy,
gratitude, amusement, and celebration can be very powerful to assist us in setting
and achieving a
goal. Enthusiastic anticipation is also very empowering, by
getting truly excited through these emotions we will multiply our chances
of reaching our goals exponentially.
So, we might want to change that governing principle,
we become what we think about to:
We become what we think about with passion.
The power to
keep us boxed in
If we pay
close attention to our thoughts, we will find that we think or say, "I
am," a great many times each day. More importantly, when we feel fear,
doubt, anxiety or concern as we think about our circumstances, we give
negative emotional power to that thought. On the other hand, if we think
about having what we want with enthusiastic anticipation ( as we might
feel when planning a vacation), we empower our thoughts with positive
energy.
If we haven't realized that our thoughts have
great power, we have enslaved ourselves by our own thinking and feeling
patterns. Our habitual way of thinking about our situation is designed
by our ego to keep us confined to our box. To exit the box, we must
take charge of our thoughts and create new thinking habits.
As a prosperity coach I often hear people say, "I
intend to be rich", and then the very next words out of their mouth will
be some negative "yeah but" or "what if" thought, designed to keep them
confined in their box. All our thoughts are powerful! If we really want
out of our box to stay, we must become our own thoughts monitor.
Before I close the newsletter for this week I urge you
to be patient with yourself during any period of transformation.
Acknowledge your accomplishments and affirm for yourself that you are
doing the very best you can at this moment in time. With each
transformation you will grow stronger and gain knowledge and expertise
that will make your next transition easier. By becoming aware of your
negative "I am" statements makes it easier to change them into positives
and with practice you can have more positive "I am" statements than
negative ones.
Next week we are going to begin chapter 9 - Being
Transformed.
I would like to leave you this week with this quote:
"To change
the quality of our lives,
merely
change the pattern of our thinking"
Have a great day!
I look forward to our next meeting.
