Hi %$firstname$%, and welcome to this
week’s edition of my newsletter. I hope you have been enjoying your week so
far. In this edition I would like to explore the importance of having a clear
understanding of our reasons behind why we want change in our lives. It will
be much easier to make the changes we want if we…..
First know why?
We wouldn’t pack up and move to a new
city without a pretty good reason for moving, right? So, before we attempt to
choose out of our current situation into a new reality, we will want to be
clear about what we really want and why we want it.
It is important that we understand that a
change of circumstances for us will require a change in both our reality
concept and in our self-concept. To manifest a different set of circumstances,
we will have to change our mindset about who we are and what we believe.
Sounds simple and it is. But if our why
is not big and powerful enough, our new BEING choice will never make it past
our ego’s determined efforts to get us back into the old box. How do we
acquire a why that’s big enough to motivate us and take us past our ego’s
powerful resistance to change?
Our first and biggest step out of our old
box would be for us to accept that a change of BEING is simply an
out-of-the-box choice. We don’t need to know how it will happen, nor will we
need to make it happen. But we must come to know that once we have chosen to
change, the Universe will provide the how-to. All we have to do is say “yes”,
to the opportunities as they come our way.
We would be putting a great deal of faith
in the attractor factor. We would have to know that by simply choosing to
change, we would just naturally attract the opportunities and circumstances
for easily and naturally making the change. It really is that simple. Anything
we want from life is a simple BEING choice away.
For example if we decide that our
out-of-the-box choice will be:
o
Make more money, our why might be to have the time to do the
things we want.
o
Weight loss, our why might be to feel better about ourselves.
o
Bicycle to work, our why might be to get into better shape.
o
Learn a foreign language, our why might be to get more enjoyment
out of an upcoming vacation.
Our way out of the trap…
Before we can choose to change we must be
highly motivated to follow through with that decision.
The following is important enough to
repeat:
Before we can choose to change our
circumstances, we must:
Be clear about what we want.
Know why we want it.
Know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we can have it.
And want it so badly we can taste it.
With all four of the above items in
place, we will just naturally choose into the new reality with a commitment
that goes far beyond a simple want.
Once we have made a solid commitment to
BE the one enjoying life in this new reality, it is as certain to manifest as
day following night. But stepping into a new reality concept with that level
of commitment requires a powerful why.
How do we create our why?
Begin by making a list of 20 reasons why
you want this good thing to come into your life.
When the list is complete, prioritize it
and build a vision of how great and wonderful your life would be having
manifested the top three items on this list.
How would you be enjoying life with your family if you were
already……?
What are some of the other ways you would be enjoying life more?
What kind and quality of clothes would you be wearing?
What would you be doing?
Where would you go?
Where would you live?
What would your friends be saying?
Do you want (more money, to lose weight,
bicycle to work, learn a foreign language, or….)? Paint a vivid picture of
life as it would be if you already had changed and chosen to BE the one in
that picture. It doesn’t matter what you are choosing, the principle remains
the same.
Once you have made a solid, committed
BEING choice, that new reality must always manifest – if you can find your way
past your ego’s powerful resistance to this change.
But first above all else you must believe
that your new reality choice will manifest. It is for this reason that I
suggest that your first step not be a giant leap out of your box, but instead
make it a baby step. We talked about this important step in issue #47 of the
newsletter. Click on the past issues link at the end of this message to review
the important points discussed in the “baby-steps” issue.
Thank you for taking part of your day to
read my newsletter. I hope the information was useful. I would also like to
take the opportunity to thank everyone who has sent comments regarding the
newsletter. Please have a safe Memorial Day weekend and as always I look
forward to talking with you next week.
