RICHBITS: Solving problems with the BEING SOLUTION
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I wrote this issue of RICHBITS to go out last Sunday while I was on cruise for eight days. Somehow, it didn't go out as scheduled.

In this issue:

  1. What's a BEING SOLUTION, this week's example
  2. What you might learn from this
  3. The two principles again
  4. How the BEING Workshop changed D.B.'s future
  5. What Cliff got out of doing the BEING WORKSHOP
  6. I could use your success story
  7. About the BEING Workshop now in progress
  8. Why am I publishing this newsletter?
1. What's a BEING SOLUTION? --
(The title is always the same for this section
but the example is different each week)
   This week's example:
When I quit smoking for good
It's not hard to quit smoking; I quit 7 times.
That sounds like a joke -- it isn't; it's true. Well, actually, it is a
joke and the joke was on me.

The joke is that I could actually quit six times will full intention
and determination to quit smoking and end up smoking again
a month or two later. One time I quit for a whole year, and at a
New Year's party, had a little too much to drink and joined the
smoking crowd -- one cigarette and a whole year of
determined effort went down the drain!

Each time, in a moment when my guard was down, the
temptation would be there, and I would con myself into
believing that one cigarette couldn't hurt. Wrong! Just one
cigarette, and I was back smoking again, even more hooked
than before. That happened six times in my life as a smoker,
before I finally quit for good.

Here's what did it for me

One day, sitting at my desk, conducting business, hacking and
coughing my way through a conversation with a salesman, I
became aware of just how hooked I was. I shook my head in
wonder and disgust as I noticed that I had three cigarettes lit
at the same time. That's when it really hit me just how
ridiculous my addiction to cigarettes had become.

Three packs a day! I wasn't having a cigarette; the cigarettes
had me -- big time.

In that moment of disgust with myself, I quit smoking cold turkey,
for the seventh and last time.

Okay, so, why did it work this time and not the other six times?
The first 6 times I quit, hadn't really stopped me from wanting
a cigarette. The craving was still there, popping up every time
I had a cup of coffee in the morning or when I had a drink in
the evening.

You see, the problem with any will-power driven decision to
quit smoking is that you will still be a smoker who is, for the
time being, not having a cigarette. The problem here, is that
Doing decisions can't possibly work, unless first preceded by
a BEING commitment.

For this exact same reason, going on a diet very seldom works.
If losing weight is strictly a will-power driven decision, you may
lose the weight, but you'll still be just a fat person in a thin body.
You'd be an over-weight person at heart -- an ego waiting for
your guard to let down, so the diet could be broken and soon-
toe a dead issue. If this is your situation, I'll guarantee that
when you go off the diet, you'll gain back more than you lost.
The only real solution if the over-weight person is to loose weight
and keep it off, would be for that person to become a thin person
in a fat body. That's a BEING choice, first, and then a DOING
decision.
The same is true for the addicted smoker.
Before the smoker can really quit and make it stick, he/she must
become a non-smoker at heart. That's a BEING decision, not a
DOING decision. Once you're truly committed to BEING a non-
smoker, you'll quit once and for all.

When you are truly a non-smoker at heart, the urge to have a
cigarette will be gone, and you will be free of your addiction.

Each week, in this section of RICHBITS,
...you'll find another example of a BEING SOLUTION.
One of the strangest things about BEING HUMAN is that we have
the God-given power to make BEING choices. We've been using
this power to solve problems all our lives, yet we keep forgetting
that we have the power.

Every time we've finally had something we originally thought we
couldn't have, we have used that God-given power to choose a
way of BEING that included having the thing we wanted.

We've first chosen to BE the one who would have the object of
our desire, and then we've done whatever necessary to obtain it.

We succeed, because we've first made the BEING commitment,
and then when we've succeeded, we look back to review our
accomplished goal with a sense of pride. We see our success as a
well done DOING SOLUTION.  What we fail to see is that the power
to DO came out of the BEING decision.

We continue to ignore our power to solve problems with BEING
choices, because that realization would destroy the illusion that
we are powerless.

My effort with each new example of a BEING SOLUTION is to give
you back your power of choice. You see, once you latch on to the
concept, you can solve any problem you face by choosing a new
way of relating to the problem. That's a BEING SOLUTION!

2. What you might learn from this
I used my example of how I finally quit smoking to show you how
you might solve your problem, which I'm sure seems like an entirely
different sort of problem.

But there really isn't a big difference between one problem and
another. Every problem, believe it or not, will require a BEING
solution. There will, of course, be things you must do before the
problem gets solved, but you won't do what you need to do unless
you first make the necessary BEING commitment.

Any doing solution, lacking a BEING choice, will fizzle the same way
my first six attempts to quit smoking failed.

If you could just be objective about your problem, you'd see that
it's nothing more than a habitual way of thinking, feeling and relating
to the problem, that makes it a problem.

A new BEING choice, would change the way you relate to the
circumstances and solve the problem.

I hope this explains the BEING SOLUTION in a way that finally
makes sense to you. Because once you “get it”, you'll have the
answer to all your problems.

Changing who you are BEING, requires a transformation in
consciousness. That new sense of awareness takes you on
a spiritual path to new-found personal power and eventually
to financial independence.

Transformation is a nine-step process that you will find listed
in Chapter 2 of my book.

In my book, BEING THE SOLUTION, you'll find a chapter devoted
to each of those nine steps. "BEING"  will take you by the hand
and lead you down the path to your own transformation  in
consciousness.

You can download your copy of the Ebook here, and if you do it this
week, you'll receive the bound printed version as a bonus! You can

3. The two principles again:

Once you see how these two spiritual laws determine the
quality of your life, you will no longer have problems that
seem insurmountable.

The Laws that govern your life:

  1. The first law: We become what we think about.
  2. The second law, The Law of Correspondence, says,
"Who and what you HAVE in your life must
correspond, exactly, to who you have chosen to BE."
How does that law work?
Once you change who you are BEING, you will automatically
attract who and what belongs in your life as a result of that BEING
    choice.

If you're ready for that life-style change,
read BEING THE SOLUTION and learn
how to choose the BEING solution for your biggest problem.

4.  How the BEING WORKSHOP changed D.B.'s future

Label this week's success story:

From self doubt to self-confidence in three months

Every BEING change success story just shows how all problems
are solved -- by taking your attention off the problem, to focus
instead, on the problem's solution.

Today's story comes to us from Cliff Teddar.,
who was once an out-of-work actor.

Darel,

I was very frustrated.  I had been searching for the last 12 years for
the best way to achieve success, with no long-term success.  Actually,
I did have one success, an abiding desire to find the way that would
work, and work permanently.

First I looked at hypnosis, looked at it to the point I became a Certified
Hypnotherapist.  It certainly helped me learn how to focus, but... it just
wasn't the answer I was searching for.

Then I learned about NLP, a wonderful problem-solving tool.  I got
certified in that, too, and did success coaching for 2 to 3 years.  I
stopped doing that because, not only was it not working more than
short term for my clients, it wasn't doing any better for me.  I always
figured a success coach should be an example.

For the next 7 or 8 years, I read constantly, I attended seminars, I
watched videos, and I listened to a mile high (so it seems) stack of
audiotapes.  I learned a lot of stuff (that's a highly technical term),
and still found myself searching.  Finally, I found my resolve
weakening, and I did not like that at all.  I was on a search for the
Holy Grail, and then it happened.  One of my mentors told me
about Darel's book, "Being the Solution".  I knew on the first
reading I had the keys.

The very first thing that almost floored me was the "be, do, have"
solution.  I had always been taught, and taught others, it was "do,
have, be" (fake it 'til you make it) and from the first reading of
BEING THE SOLUTION, I knew it to be the right way of
thinking and being.

The second epiphany (one of my son's favorite words) was that we are
able to choose where we want to be and are responsible, by our past
choices (conscious or not), for where we are right now.  I learned
about how devious my ego is.  That challenge, I'm happy to say, is
changing.  Not without a struggle, and it is changing.  In short, I
was learning major information about how I work.

You know what? It's truly very simple.  I am certainly not saying it's
easy, just simple.  However, knowing and putting knowledge to work
are different beasts.

The biggest realization was something I intuitively knew and was not
able to put into words was this most basic truth of all:  I am an
individualization of God.  What a totally empowering thought that is.
To know that God experiences the material world through me is very
exciting.  I figured out that He probably would like to have better
experiences, and they would be to my benefit also.  Thank you God.

The book, by itself, powerful though it was, did not take me where I
wanted to go.

Then I heard about the workshop, and was overjoyed to know it was
available.  I took the workshop with a great group of people, and
virtually all of us grew out of our boxes.  Some of us made marvelous
advances, and we all learned a whole lot about ourselves and how to
use the information Darel offered us.

Did I get every thing I had on my goal list when we started?  No.
However, I now have a whole bunch of tools, along with the support
of my power pact group, and know how to use them to get me where
I want to go.  I also know how to determine exactly what I want in
my life, and it's different from I had thought it was.  This is power
far beyond what I thought I wanted, and I am very thankful to find
it out.

Darel Rutherford is a resource to utilize to put the information in his
book to use.  I would recommend the course to anyone truly interested
in growing into what they want to be.

Don't know what you want?  Take the course and find out.  I'm glad
I did.

5. What Cliff got out of doing the  BEING WORKSHOP

D.B. talks a great deal about the Power Pact and if you could have
seen the change in his self-confidence once be began our Power
Pact talks, you'd understand why. You could tell by the confidence in
his voice that he was really going places as an actor, and I told him so.

When he auditioned for jobs, the interviewers were awed by his
confidence and that's why, in just three months, D.B. went from no work
to having a very busy schedule.

In my opinion, the real reason for his success was because, as a result of
being in a Power Pact, he gained, in a very short time, the purest form of
riches. I call it self-confidence.

The true key to success in life is self-confidence. Once you truly believe in
yourself the world is your oyster. So, if you'd like to raise the level of your self-
confidence a notch or two, and succeed like D.B., you might consider doing
what he did to gain that confidence, take the workshop.

We'll be announcing the date for the next Online BEING WORKSHOP
sometime soon. Those who've requested information on that workshop
will be given first right of refusal.

The size of the workshop will be limited to 30 participants. As you might
imagine, it won't take long to fill that quota. So put in your bid now and be
one of those who gets notified first.

7. Why am I publishing this newsletter?

Where I'm making the most difference is when someone reads my
book or does the workshop.

Remember the elements in making a decision?

Now, the next question. What does it cost you to decide not to decide?
