2. What's a BEING SOLUTION?
Here's a hint:
3. The two principles:

We humans are governed by two spiritual laws:

  1. The first law: We become what we think about
  2. The second law, The Law of Correspondence, says ,
"Who and what you HAVE in your life must
correspond, exactly, to who you have chosen to BE."
You might also call this second law, "The Law of Attraction"

What does this mean for you?
Once you see those two principles as ruled to live by, you will have
found the solution to all your problems! How?

The first of those laws gives you the power to choose who you will be
and the second guarantees that you will have whatever belongs with
that BEING choice. Life really is that simple.

LIfe is only complicated because we keep forgetting the rules.

Applying the principles: Once you've made your new BEING
commitment, your problem has no reality in which to exist!

Think about your biggest problem and ask yourself what's the
    BEING solution for this problem?

    So how about it?

If you're not quite ready to act on your intention to solve your
problem consider this:         even if you're choosing not to choose.
So, here are your choices         problem  If you're not clear about the question, Who would
you be BEING if you no longer had that problem,
you might want to read BEING THE SOLUTION and learn
              how to answer that question.

4.  A BEING Solution if your job no longer suits you
You could label this week's success story:
Giving up the security in a job you don't like

From my point of view, every BEING change success story
the same, because the solution always comes from taking
attention off the problem and focusing on the solution.

Today's story comes to us from Lydia Godfrey

Dear Darel,

I am in a job that was right for me four years ago but by adding value
and giving more, I became bigger than the job.

I work for a used bookstore that is doing a booming business in a
university town in the South.  I can buy anything in the bookstore at
cost.  I am surrounded by books and by people who love to read.
When the bookstore does better business than the previous year,
I get a bonus.

It sounds like a dream job, right?  But when I started following some
of the principles in books like Think and Grow Rich and The Science
of Getting Rich and The Power Pause I gave so much more to the
job that I guess some people felt threatened or something.

Even comments from the owner showed that she did not value the
extra things I was doing to improve customer satisfaction.  She even
said, "Oh, they'll come anyway no matter what we do."  It was then
that I realized I valued our customers more than the owner who
employed me.

As much as it appeared to be a dream job, I also noticed that my
values were very different from my fellow employees.  I wanted to
be doing something for my company when I was on the clock even
when there were no customers to serve, so I started cleaning and
organizing areas that had been dirty and disorganized for months.

I enjoyed giving an extra effort but fellow employees made fun of my
industriousness.  I even got reprimanded for being too helpful to
customers.  I began to realize that I was not as happy at this job as
I should be considering all the benefits.

I applied the principle of seeing myself doing what I would love most
to do ... have more time to read and to write and to make a real
difference in people's lives by sharing some of the things that I'm
learning with them.

Within a few weeks, someone offered me a place to stay for much
less rent than I had been paying in the university town.  I would be
able to take a part-time job near a country setting (which I had also
visualized) and do some things on the side that would be taking a
step toward building a residual income through working out of my
home (which is also what I visualized).

I have now turned in my resignation letter and will be free of the
"secure" job where I had become a misfit and outcast by growing
into a more effective employee.  I will soon be free of a company
where that improvement was not recognized or appreciated.

Already I am practicing being the solution to what I will do next.
Instead of worrying and being afraid, one thing at a time, everything
is falling into place and I am happier and more hopeful than I have
ever been of an even-more richer and rewarding life in which I will
truly be free to be all that I can be.

Thank you for truly making a difference in my life,

Lydia Godfrey

P.S.   You may use my full name.

5. What you could have learned from Lydia's new BEING choice

One of the most difficult decisions you can make in life is to give
up the security of a job that no longer pleases or nourishes you.

One of the questions always asked of workshop participants is:

Do you like what you do for a living?

Most participants will answer, "no" to that question.

Many of them don't like the jobs because they're not happy with their
wages.

In the above example, Lydia visualized what she wanted instead of thinking
about what she didn't like about her job.
What you should be getting from all of this is that no matter what the
problem, the solution is always the same!
  • Focus on the problem and your problem will persist.
  • Focus on the solution and your problem will have no reality in which to exist.
  • 6. Three questions to ask yourself every day 7. I need your story 8. About the Ongoing BEING Workshop
We're three weeks into the current 8 week Online Being workshop
and will soon be announcing the next one.

I'm really pleased with participant progress. So, if you missed this one
and would like to be made aware of the upcoming workshop, we'll be
sending out notices about that in about three or four weeks.

I'll keep all of you posted if you're interested, and like before, those
who've indicated an interest, will have first right of refusal. Let me know.

    9. Why am I publishing this newsletter?
Where I'm making the most difference is when someone reads my book. Remember the elements in making a decision? Now, next the question: what does it cost you to decide not to decide?
