RICHBITS: a free self-improvement
message with inspiring
weekly examples to show how all problems
are solved, first
with the BEING
SOLUTION and then a DOING solution.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Since I won't be here this week end I'm
writing this ahead of time.
I will be in Cincinatti this Sunday attending
a week-end seminar.
Instead of bringing you a story today,
I'm bringing you controversy.
--a subject for discussion. The subject
is your barrier to success.
We're talking here about your barrier to
becoming richer.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
In this issue:
Because today's discussion
is a debate on whether or not
Sephania's money
problem solution is a good one, I'm bringing
it to you again,
just for review. Here it is again.
Stephania success storyIf you reacted to this story, you may like this rebuttalMy Being Solution is my money problem. Every month I am
run out of money. My bigger expense is on credit card.
Shopping and traveling is my hobby, I will happily bought the
things I like without a second thought. When the credit card
statement come at the end of the month, I have big debt to pay. After read your "Being the Solution", I have make a decision
to change my "BEING" choice. After changing my BEING,
instantly my relationship with money changed from lack to
prosperous. My first step is to review my cash flow and cut down the
unnecessary expenses. I start to practice "Pay myself first".
Now, I am able to save 20% of my income every month. I had
open an account to auto debit $200 monthly to invest in one of
the high growth mutual fund.I also get a financial planner to help me to plan out my
retirement fund and other financial goals. By doing so, I hope
to be financial independent at the age of 45. I am 35 now. I also
read the investment books/magazine to further enhance my
investment knowledge. I want to thanks my friend, James for
recommending your website to me.
2. Here's a rebuttal to Sephania's solution
Darel,3. How I responded to this rebuttalStephania's story has some glaring holes, if you ask me. She said
her hobbies--in other words, what she loves to do-were shopping
and traveling; her solution was to give up what makes her happiest
and commit herself to a regime that prohibits and restricts any joyful
activity. She could have gotten a job in the travel industry where she could
have traveled for nothing--or almost nothing. And she could have
found a way to obtain more money so she could also shop on those
trips--and still have put into place the saving and investing strategies
she now is involved in.Surely she hasn't lost her passion for either of her hobbies; she more
likely has just lost her passion for life altogether having replaced it with
an obsession for saving--i.e., not using, enjoying, or realizing pleasure
from--her money .Other than a Scrooge-like hoarding mentality, she derives nothing from
her money--or from life. Oh, sure, she will have amassed a big pile of it
locked away with "DON"T TOUCH! " written on it by the time she is older
and retires from work--and she won't even believe she can afford the
$5.00 in gas she would have to spend to drive across town and visit her
grandchildren.I have an Aunt who believes that. She has over $400,000 in banks, her
home is completely paid for, and she receives $3,000 a month from
interest and social security. She is 88 years old, widowed, and her car is
also completely paid for and new. She says she "can't afford it" to
everything--even cable television. Her total bills can't run over $300 a month. That is where I see Stephania
heading. And that is not a solution; it is a mental prison. My aunt may as
well have $0.00 in the bank or anywhere else; in her mind--she does have
$0.00. M. K.
M. K. I wish I had an open forum where I could post your response.4. We all have built-in barriers to becoming richer
I'd like to see the discussions pro and con that it would bring up.Here are a coupled of thoughts contrary to yours.
The Bible says; "The love of money is the root of all evil."
That's the most misused statement in the bible, the one most
often used to justify one's reasons for being poor.In my opinion, that Bible quote should have read:
"Greed is the root of all evil."
You see, M. K., greed is a fear-based attitude about
life and fear is also evil. The opposite of fear is love. In order to be rich you'd have to
love the money more than you love the false rich feeling that
you have when spending it.Rich is not about spending money. Rich is about having all
the money you could possibly need, but not spending it all
because you'd rather have the money working for you. I'm sure,
for you, that sounds like a good description of your aunt, but it's not.You see, your aunt is not rich--she's poor. She is a great example
of what I mean when I say having money doesn't make you rich.Rich isn't about what you have, it's about who you are. M. K., most
rich people are givers. Giving is part of the formula for becoming rich.Rich people are investors and their investing creates jobs which
keeps the money flowing. Your aunt doesn't fit the profile of either
a giver or an investor. She hoards her money out of fear of losing it
or never having it. Her relationship to money is based in fear.Your aunt, if your opinion about her is accurate, is a good example
of how not to be. I imagine almost everyone knows someone like
that. The problem is when we use that bad example as our reason for
choosing a relationship to money that keeps us poor, we've made a
big mistake. In most cases, your decision to never to be like that, becomes your
permanent barrier for ever choosing to be rich.M. K., don't let your aunt be your justification for choosing not to be rich.

Everyone has a built-in barrier to becoming richer. If the word5. About the Online BEING Workshop
richer implies only money to you, you have the wrong definition
for rich in your mental dictionary.Think about it. Rich is about who you are, not about what you have.
Whatever you lack in life, love, friends, self-confidence or even
money, that's your form of poverty. With that definition, I think you'll
see that everyone would like to be richer. The solution to your problem is simple- just choose to be rich.
Yeah, sure!Well, that is the solution! The problem is that your barrier to becoming
richer in that aspect of your life, may prevent your making any other choice
than the poverty you now experience. If you had a miser for an aunt and had decided never to be like her, you
would have great difficulty in ever choosing to be one of the "bad guys".You may want to consider the possibility of finding your problem's
solution by choosing to do the Online BEING workshop. There, you'll
