The Money Quiz
If you won the lottery tomorrow,
and your monthly income increased by ten times within the next 30 days, you
would just naturally assume that:
-
From now on, life would be easier
and you'd be happy because your future was not secure?
Yes/No
-
With all that money in the bank
you'd now be free to choose whatever you wanted and do what you really want
to do? Yes/No
-
Having this money, would
permanently remove all struggle from your life and you'd have it made in the
shade? Yes/No
If you answered any one of these
questions with a "Yes", then you probably also believe in the tooth fairy!
The fact is:
that about 80% of all those who win the lottery end up broke within two years or
less. That's because they somehow came to the conclusion that having lots of
money would make them rich.
How did they acquire this
misinformed concept about money? Probably because the only times they've
felt rich in life were when they were happily spending money. This
"happy-when-I'm-spending" feeling led them to believe that "BEING Rich" was just
about spending the money. Nothing could be
further from the truth!
The obvious flaw in that brand of
reasoning: Once the money is gone, you're poor again.
For some folks, the experience of being
rich one day and poor the next is an ongoing, paycheck-to-paycheck drama. The
false-riches game gets even more insane when they resort to "feeling rich"
through credit card spending.
If you're guilty of attempting to
spend your way to prosperity, you have a
relationship to money that is destined to keep you forever poor.
If you're fed up with feeling poor,
choose the BEING Solution for your money problems, choose a different way of
relating to money. It's the only real solution for your negative cash flow
problems.
Your Relationship To Money -
(from Chapter 20 of "Being The Solution")
BEING poor means you want something
from life that you don't have. That definition for "poor" makes most of us poor!
A millionaire desperate for more wealth is poor; having five maxed-out credit
cards makes you poor.
In either case, you will have chosen a
relationship to money that keeps you poor. The purpose of Chapter 20 is to show
you how to change your relationship to money. So, think about this and accept it
as your reality:
You do have a relationship with
money.
If you think you don't have a
relationship with money, you may want to rethink your opinion. If you see money
only as an inanimate object, just the stuff you receive on paydays, earnings
that never quite stretch to the end of the pay period, then you are at the
effect of the real cause of your money problems.
As long as you persist in that point of view,
your income problems can't be solved.
If you never seem to have all the money
you think you need to make your life whole and complete, your money problems are
the consequence, not the cause, of your predicament.
And to find your way out of your
financial bind, you must be able to see that the real problem is in
WHO you've chosen to BE,
as in how you relate to money.
Your relationship to money is
expressed in three ways:
-
As your prosperity consciousness
- or lack of it. A prosperity consciousness
can be defined as feeling prosperous when you think about your personal
finances.
-
As your spending strategy
- an insatiable need for instant gratification will create negative cash
flow and the resulting poverty consciousness will keep you in debt and poor.
On the other hand, spending less than you make creates a positive cash flow,
resulting in the prosperity consciousness that will make you rich.
-
As your earning strategy
- almost no one ever because wealthy off their
income from trading hours for dollars. Creating multiple streams of residual
income is the true path to wealth.
The first step toward that prosperous feeling that
attracts money,
is to create a positive cash flow,
usually by spending less than you make.
Once you've acquired a prosperity
consciousness, you'll attract money like a magnet attracts metal filings. Then
when you take full charge of your spending habits and change your earning
strategy, you'll be well on your way to becoming wealthy.
What's A BEING Solution?
You've applied the BEING Solution to your shortage of income
when you've chosen to BE someone who no longer has that problem
Maria Mays increased her massage
practice income by 1/3 in just one month.
How did she do that?
Maria spent thirty minutes a day visualizing her massage
practice schedule filled every day with happy satisfied clients. That
visualization process, over a period of one month, changed Maria from who she
had been being, to who she needed to be to have her scheduled changed.
How does that work?
Once you change who you are BEING, the Universe
steps forward to provide everything that belongs with your new BEING commitment.
Can money problems be that easily
solved? You bet!
You see, there are two spiritual laws
that govern what you may or may not have in your life.
-
We become what we think
about.
-
What you have in life must
correspond exactly to who you are.
These two principles run your life
whether you choose to be consciously aware of them or not.
So, now that you are aware of the rules, you have
choice.
You can be a victim of the negative cash flow you've
created, by choosing who you would be in your relationship to money, or you can
put those two principles to work to solve your money problems. Rich or poor, it
really is your choice!
If you don't like your financial circumstances, first know
that your money problems are the effect of the way you perceive yourself in your
relationship to money.
To change your cash flow from negative to positive, you
need only change your relationship to money. How do you do that? Take charge of
your thinking habits. You can become whoever you want to be by just thinking
about becoming that person.
Let's say you chose to BE someone who attracts lots of
money. Once you accomplished that BEING intention, the Universe would have no
choice except to supply you with money at the level of your new consciousness.
Life is a BEING Choice
Every moment of your life requires a BEING Choice. Every
situation you face requires a BEING Choice. in all cases you're choosing who you
will be under the circumstances.
When you allow yourself to see that, when you see the
light, you'll realize that your escape from poverty requires nothing more or
less than making a new BEING Choice to replace the poverty consciousness.

Chapter 3 - How Prayers Get Answered
"To God Or As God" - Pg. 30
...maybe you're seeing the shaky condition of your
finances as proof that you lack the power to change anything. Maybe your health
is bad, or you have serious relationships problems. Any one of the above
situations could have you feeling powerless. But let's see if we can shed a
different sort of light on that solid evidence.
It would be natural that you'd see your unpaid
bills, as the cause of your financial dilemma, but what if your
insufficient income were the effect, not the cause of your financial
problems?
-
What if your focus on not having enough money to
pay those bills were a creative force manifesting more of the same?
-
What if your focus on the problem of being in poor
health were causing more poor health?
-
What if your attention to the problems in your
relationship were the causal force perpetuating that problem?
I know your ego mind doesn't want you to hear that, but
that's exactly what's happening! Here's how it works, what you believe and how
you feel about life creates your reality. And that reality concept is the model
the Universe must use in filling the mold you've created with your BEING Choice.

How They Catch Monkeys
They catch monkeys in Borneo by baiting them with
pieces of hard candy in hollow coconuts chained to the ground. The small hole in
each coconut allows the monkey to reach through and grab the candy but does not
allow him to remove his fist while holding onto the candy The monkey refuses to
let go, becoming tapped by his own greed.
When enough monkeys have taken the bait,
trappers cast a large net over the foolish animals to restrain them
while being caged. The moral to this story is:
if you ever want to be rich,
you will need to be smarter than the monkeys.
Spending more than you make is as dangerous a
trap to you as that candy was to the monkey. If you think that monkey
was dumb for holding on, take a look at yourself. Are you refusing to
give up the things you buy with money you don't have?
That stuff IS your piece of hard candy.
You will stop being the slave of money when you
see more value in the money than in the things you could have purchased
with it. When you budget your expenses so that you save 10% or more of
your income, you will have opened your fist and taken your hand out of
the coconut. You will be free to become rich.
