Paradoxes
God hid the truth in plain sight and
called it a paradox.
Everything that works in life is a
paradox. To know God, you must Be God. To be a God in all aspects of your life,
you must, one by one, deal with and accept each of life's paradoxes as your
truth.
Life itself is a paradox. It is only
the ego that argues that one way is right while the other way is wrong. That's
how the ego keeps us trapped like hamsters on a wheel, going round and round but
always in one place. Ego's way saps your energy.
Spirit's way inspires and energizes you.
Each paradox is God's way, hidden in
plain sight, so you'll have to BE God to "get it".
The Paradoxes
The common belief is that your circumstances created your
reality.
When in truth, your reality concept creates your
circumstances.
You think you believe it because you can see it.
When actually you see it because you believe it.
When you need it, you can't have it.
When you don't need it, you can have all you want.
To get someone to change,
You must first make it okay that they don't change,
That's unconditional love applied to your relationship.
It is also God's love for you.
Without a Winner's Attitude, you can't win.
To acquire a Winner's Attitude,
First make it okay to fail.
It is impossible to win while trying not to fail.
Or it is impossible to win what you can't afford to loose.
Security is in letting go, detaching, not in hanging on.
We think being powerful is about making it happen.
In truth, real power is a BEING choice that lets go and
lets God.
God Power in you is the BEING Principle, passive power,
not active power.
Success is a BEING choice, not a DOING thing.
Think about something else
Each of the above paradoxes is what works, yet each one is
totally contrary to your ego's point of view about life.
And with each of the above paradoxes you accept as your
own truth, you become more powerful, more God-like. So, as I said,
To really
know God, you must BE God. The more you take each of these on as your truth,
the less your ego will be in charge and the more God-like you become.

Chapter 31 - Living In The Now

How can you tell if it's your ego of the Real You in
control? Ego doesn't dwell in the now; it lives only in the past or the future.
It draws its identity from the past, using the past as a filter for everything
you think, hear, feel and touch. Your ego argues that it lives in the now.
Believe me, it doesn't!
The Past Experience Filter
For ego, everything happening in the now is seen
through the past experience filter.
When your ego is in command, you are not being there
for the present moment. Your ego mind will be focused on second-guessing some
past event, or fearfully concerned about what the future may bring. Whenever
your ego thoughts rule the moment, the Real You will be out of the picture.

Where Is God in Your Reality?
If you tend to look up when you pray,
you've placed God outside yourself.
That's not to say that He isn't out there, because He
is. So, don't be misled with these words about an indwelling God as opposed to
God out there somewhere. Since God is everywhere and in everything, God is
obviously out there, as well as within.......
But the only God you can know personally is already
part of you and always has been. If "close" and "indwelling" do not describe
your current relationship with God, you may want to rethink that relationship.
And while you are thinking about it, just remember: that if you perceive
God to be out there someplace, that's where He will be. But it wasn't God who
moved.
In the meantime, even though you pray to a God out
there, and even if you look up when you pray, God will answer your prayers,
because He, as a part of you, knows your thoughts before they are spoken.

Determined to keep you confined in the box you
call reality, your powerful ego will maintain your illusion of reality
by hiding the fact that you created your own box. Ego knows that once
you remember having created your own reality, you will know that you
have the power to create a new one. Ego maintains the illusion of
powerlessness to keep you in the box.
Ego's greatest fear is that you will discover
just how powerful you really are!

change of heart, a transformation in consciousness. Actually, this only
means you've changed your mind about who you will BE. But for the ego, a
change of mind is a bigger deal than a simple mind change.
