You Are Your Reality
Your story is the embodiment of your
beliefs. It is the foundation from which you create. You live within the
experience of your beliefs and create within the context of their limits. You
are your reality. To realize that there are no limits to your being, is to
release the limiting beliefs with which you define your being.
The caging effect, the outer walls of
your story (act), originally set up to protect you from harm or to avoid pain,
also enslaves you and limits the choices you make. In that cage, avoiding pain,
you'll tend to lose touch with knowing that you are the creator of your reality.
The only way out of that cage is a walk
through the perceived pain and out the other side with a Winner's Attitude.
How does walking through the pain give you a
Winner's Attitude?
When you step into your fear, only
one of two things can happen; either what you fear does not happen, and you will
realize it was unfounded, or what you are fearing does happen, and you'll
realize that not only can you cope with it, you will have healed the wound
created when you first shielded yourself from experiencing that pain.
In either case, in allowing yourself to
experience the pain, you are liberated, alive, joyful and happily BEING you on
the other side of your fear. Believe me, you did not make the pain go away by
avoiding it; you merely created a wound that will stay with you until you find
the courage to heal that wound by experiencing the pain. The pain IS part of the
healing.
If you are inclined to believe, that as
an individualization of God you should not be experiencing contrast, think
again. You use the power of God in you (The BEING Principle) to create your
story, but in creating your story (your reality), you establish limits. Growing
your consciousness, the unfolding of your being is the process of stepping
beyond limits. And each time out of your box, you merely create a bigger cage
which also has limits.
The outer boundary of your reality,
the bars to your cage are fears, your resistance to change.
Change is painful for the keeper of the story, your ego.
If you want joy, happiness and peace, it is waiting for you outside your cage
just past your fear and through the pain.
As a spiritual being, there's no
such thing as finding nothing but joy, happiness and peace in your life.
Any beautiful picture is a melody of contrast. Without the contrast, there would
be no picture, no beauty.
If you're thinking you can avoid the
contrast and have nothing but the good life, you're living in a pipe dream. If
you want a workable strategy for living, go for acquiring the Winner's Attitude
in every situation. To acquire the Winner's Attitude, you must have conquered
your fear with a walk through the pain.
Each time you can find the courage
to go beyond your fear and through the pain, you will grow your consciousness,
and once again, be playing at life with the Winner's Attitude!

Chapter 6 - What's Stopping You?
"To God Or As God" - Pg. 66 & 67
Changing who you are BEING will require some major
out-of-the-box thinking. Two things created your current box, setting the outer
boundaries for your thinking.
-
Your self concept
-
Your reality concept
And for as long as you stay trapped in that old way of
thinking, all your self-limiting thoughts will set the outer limits for what you
may have in life. To change the content in your life you must begin by imagining
what your life would be like if you were already enjoying the good life outside
that box.

Chapter 3 - The Success Secret
from my book
"So, Why Aren't You Rich?" -
Pg. 76
The Cork
Two major considerations make the cork in our reality
bottle seem real:
-
First, our belief that our reality is made out of
solid substance
-
Second, our assumption that our situation is
hopeless.
We remain stuck because we haven't understood that our
problem is not with the circumstances.
On closer look, we find will find:
Our reality is built not out of circumstances
but out of our attitude about those circumstances.
Our reality is not in what is happening, but in our
reaction to what's happening. Our reality is not necessarily based on what is
real, but on what we perceive to to be real.
The ego builds our reality
out of attitudes, opinions and points of view
concerning anything we consider significant.
