Attachment May Be Our Greatest Sin
Have you ever stopped to think that
"attachment" may be our greatest sin in life?
The original meaning of the word "sin",
was "missed the mark", as in, "I aimed and missed". Religion defines "sin" as
deliberate disobedience of the will of God, the violation of a religious or
moral law. I prefer the original meaning.
I say you're sinning (off target) when
you've forgotten your true identity and are running your story. Nothing wrong
with your story; it is just the way you've chosen to experience life in a
material reality. But when you are being your
story, you've forgotten your true identity.
If your true purpose in life is Real
Self discovery, then you as your story have missed the mark.
As your ego, you will have become attached to certain outcomes even though
many of those results no longer serve you.
Whenever you've become attached to anything, you are saying, "I really need this
to be whole and complete".
And you know the rule:
When you need anything, you can't have it, but when you no
longer need it, you can have all you want.
When you are in need of anything, you
are outside the kingdom, living in the self-built cage of survival that has
become your story. For as long as you hide out in your story, you are denying
your true identity.
The bars of your cage are your fears,
which while seeming to keep you safe, actually lock you in, making you powerless
to manifest a change. The walls of your survival cage (your story) lock out the
possibility of life getting any better. If you want out of that cage, begin by
applying another spiritual law which is:
"Seek you first the kingdom and all
else shall be added unto thee."
To manifest your desired change of
circumstances, you should know by now that you must first seek the kingdom,
which is a fearless, Winner's Attitude place of happiness, enthusiasm and joy.
In other words, to win at whatever game you've decided to play in the moment,
you must first acquire the Winner's Attitude.
To acquire the attitude of a winner in
each of life's challenging situations you must first face and accept the
possibility of failure, make that outcome okay, and then choose to play your
game full out, in spite of the perceived danger. With the Winner's Attitude,
you'll become unstoppable, because you won't quit after a minor set back.
Another important rule of life is:
"The only way out is through". The bars of your cage are your fears and
self-imposed limitations. Your fears are your ego's way of avoiding pain.
Unfortunately, pain avoided, only lodges itself in your body as some ache or
pain, and that pain will stay lodged in your body until you find the courage to
deal with it.
I remember stubbing my big toe on a
chiropractor's table and it hurt so bad I thought it was broken. The doctor examined it and assured
me it wasn't broke, and then knowing about my ability to make the pain go away,
she said, "Don't make the pain go away; the pain is part of the healing
process." She knew that when I go to the dentist, even for a root canal, I don't
let them use numbing pain killers on me. I just use mind over matter and control
the pain.
It took me a lot of years of avoiding
pain before I realized that avoiding pain wasn't such a good idea. Until that
moment in the chiropractor's office I hadn't allowed myself to see that the pain
was part of the healing process. Even though skeptical, I did as my chiropractor
suggested and in no time the pain was gone and in just three days, the toe was
no longer black and blue.
Physical or emotional pain can go away
only when faced and experience. Your pain in
life is a necessary part of the healing process. And the only way past your
fear of pain is to experience that pain full out. When you can do that, the pain
and the fear go away and you are healed. And the real benefit in your healing is
that you are now free of your fear, free to be YOU, in a brand new way on the
far side of your fear.
So, this week I would like for you to
look at your fears (the bars of your cage) one by one and ask yourself what
painful outcome you fear in each situation. Step into the pain, experience it
full out and then experience the freedom of being you in a brand new way, once
again, outside your cage and into the kingdom of enthusiasm, joy and a Winner's
Attitude.

Chapter 7 - Trapped In Your Act
"To God Or As God" - Pg. 70
...your act is running your life!
-
Your act is whatever role you've chosen to play in
life.
-
Your act is the brave front you're using to protect
and hide your vulnerability.
-
Your act is whoever you've chosen to BE, so you would
never be hurt again in the same way.
-
Your act is also your ongoing attempt to prove
something you thought you needed to prove. But you would have no need to prove
that if you could accept that it was already so. It already is.

Chapter 6 - The Cycle, Create,
Persist, Destroy
from my book
"So, Why Aren't You Rich?" -
Pg. 140
Transformation Is The Key
We discover who we are through transformation. We
find a part of ourselves we didn't know was there every time we face a
problem and rise above it. We are transformed when we change our minds about
who we will be in regard to whatever problem we're facing.
Many of our transformations occur when we want
something we won't be able to have until we change who we are. Other
transformations come to pass when we are faced with some unexpected challenge we
must meet in order to survive...

Chapter 19 - Find Yourself On
The Cycle
from my book
"Being The Solution" -
Pg. 253
First, find your inner power
...seek ye first the kingdom of God
and all these things will be added unto you.
--- Luke 12:31
What does that mean, "seek ye first the
kingdom"? It means to first find your inner power and then, "...all
these things will be added unto you." This bible passage promises
that you can have whatever you want from life if you can find your way
out of your box. It means that you must first find the spirit, the power
to choose a new way of BEING; it promises you that life will respond, by
providing everything that belongs with your new BEING choice.
It further means you can choose a new way of
BEING with your problem, and have that problem cease to exist as a
problem. It means that when you seek for and find your inner power, the
power of choice (the kingdom), you can choose a new reality and
everything necessary to experiencing that reality will be made available
to you.
How could you ask for more? Life makes that
promise if you're willing to come outside your box and play the game at
a new level.
You say you'd rather play it safe in your box?
Life is offering you this fantastic deal and you're turning it down? How
could that be? Why would anyone elect to stay in his/her box when the
good life is just outside it?
