You Have A Story. Everyone
Has A Story.
-
Your story is the way in which you
define your individuality.
-
Your story is the way in which you
know yourself to BE - your self definition.
-
Your story is both your expression
and your perception of your being - ness, reflecting your joys, hopes, fears
and loves.
-
According to your ego, your story
is who you are, your self-concept defined.
The biggest problem with your story
is that you are attached to it. And you'll never really be a free soul until you
have detached from your story.
Your story is a box, a cage. The bars
to your cage are merely ideas, points of view and attitudes designed to keep
you safe in that self-limiting reality concept. You are not your story, but you
are attached to your story and to all the bars of your cage.
In Borneo, monkeys are easily captured
with a simple trap, a coconut chained to a stake in the ground. Through a small
hole in the coconut trappers bait the monkey with a piece of hard candy. The
hole in the coconut is barely large enough for the monkey to get his hand into, but not large enough so that the monkey can remove his fist as long
as it remains closed around the candy.
Once the monkey has hold of the candy,
he's trapped, because he will refuse to let go of the candy. When enough monkeys
have taken the bait, trappers throw a large net over the self-trapped monkeys
and cage them. What's the difference between you and the monkeys? You built your
own cage!
Your cage is made out of beliefs,
attitudes, opinions and points of view. Your story is your cage. You built that
cage to keep you safe from perceived danger. The joke is that there was no real
danger, only perceived danger, and your cage is merely an illusion. When you can
face your fears, they will dissolve and disappear because they are an illusion.
You ARE attached to your story and to
the bars on your cage. The way out is to realize that life is just a game and
the real purpose of which is to free yourself by removing the bars to your cage
one by one.
How do you remove the bars to your
cage? You face your fear and move past it with the winner's attitude.
This means you play full out without being attached to the
outcome. I know the detaching process can be a
difficult concept to grasp, especially if you've translated detached to mean, no
longer caring.
It might help you to think of caring as
a form of worry. And then to get past the caring, allow yourself to see that God
doesn't worry about you, because He gave you the power, knowing you'd eventually
find it and learn how to use it. And If God doesn't worry or become attached,
why should you?
Detaching is the application of a
spiritual law that has powerful and transformational benefits once you've
learned its lesson. That spiritual law: "If you
need it you can't have it, but when you no longer need it you can have all you
want".
As an individualized version of God,
you are all powerful. You've used that power to define your individuality but
now you are attached to that definition. In being attached, you deny your power.
As a God focused on need, what you'll manifest is powerlessness.
Attachment and need are one and the
same and both manifest as powerlessness.
Anytime you feel you need an outcome to
make your life whole and complete, you deny your god power. Net result: You'll
manifest the results that prove you can't have what you want. How else could it
be? You manifest what you believe, because you
are that powerful.
Why is the detachment process so
difficult, because your whole identity is locked into the reality of your
attachment. Letting it go for your ego is like dying in order to be reborn into
a new identity, a new freedom, a new way of BEING YOU. You want to let yourself
see that your real win each time out of the box is your growth in consciousness,
and you entered the kingdom and became a winner in that moment of detaching.
This week, pay attention to how it
feels every time you are able to detach, and in that moment, acquire the
Winner's Attitude. Exercise your Winner's Attitude muscle every day and watch
the quality of your life get better and better. It is impossible to lose when
you have a Winner's Attitude!
If you agree that winning happens in
that moment of detaching, you might want to begin to make yourself a list of
everything to which you have become attached and see if you can step out of that
detachment with a Winner's Attitude.
Think of the Winner's Attitude as a
muscle that needs strengthening and then practice on detaching from the little
ideas, things and outcomes.
To what are you attached?
-
To your story?
-
To being right?
-
To a relationship that no longer
serves you?
-
To the outcome in some
situation?
-
To the stuff you've accumulated?
-
To the status quo?
-
(You finish the list)

Chapter 5 - The Winner's Attitude
"To God Or As God" - Pg. 45 & 46
You cannot win what you can't afford to
lose.
Why is that so? If you think you can't afford to
loose, you'll be afraid of loosing, and you'll be motivated by fear. Can
fear ever win the day for you? Can you win if you are afraid you'll lose?
Never! Why is that?
Once you're afraid, you'll lack the winner's
attitude, and without it, you can't win. So, what does it take to win? It
takes courage and a winning attitude to win.

Chapter 10 - Where Is God?
from my book
"So, Why Aren't You Rich?" -
Pg. 249 & 250
Out of Ignorance
The reality of having no power,
is created by our own powerful negative thoughts.
Our experience of life, from this position of
powerlessness, is the ultimate in irony. In our fantasy, we now find this
strange paradox:
out of ignorance we have used our own power,
unwittingly and unknowingly, to create our own powerlessness. We've used the
matches to burn down the house.
We could possibly be a slave for life, trapped
by our own powerful thoughts, never realizing that we had power.
The joke is that we have unlimited power,
and we have used it to build a cage.
We have the key to the Universe, and we have used
it to lock ourselves in a cage of our own making. Can you think of a better
plot for a fairy tale?

Chapter 3 - In The Image And
Likeness of God
from my book
"Being The Solution" -
Pg. 39
Is That Your Final Answer?
In God's game show, when you use your power to
say, "I am poor", the game show host (God) says, "Is that your final
answer"? When you say "Yes", God say, "you got it", and what you've
gotten for yourself is a direct result of your "I am" statement.
Each time you catch yourself making an "I am "
statement, and you do this hundreds of times each day, ask yourself what
you've created with that thought and if that's really what you want.
You say, "I'm sick and tired of this job", and
then you sit back and wonder why you are always sick and tired. When you
"get" that the pattern of your thinking created the box in which you
live, you will begin to see how powerful you really are.
