Finding Your Way Past The
Resistance
Were you aware, that most
people on this planet haven't a clue as to the real reason why they are
not as successful as they'd like to be?
If you asked anyone who feels
their life lacks success, why he or she was not all that prosperous,
you'd hear some sort of victim story. A victim story is any excuse
people might use to explain why their life isn't working to their
satisfaction.
And believe it or not, that's
all it is, a victim story. You are all an individualization of a God who
experiences life in and through you as you. That fact alone makes your
victim story an illusion.
That indwelling presence in you
gives you the power to choose who you will be' then once you've made
your BEING choice, the Law of Attraction clicks in to provide whatever
manifestation belongs in the reality of your new BEING commitment.
But that's where most of us
fail in our attempts to change the quality of our lives. Unaware of our
own built-in-resistance to change, we would be ill-equipped to deal with
it. Ego's job in life is the maintenance of the status quo. It does that
job by rejecting any attempted change in your way of BEING.
So, while you're busy firming
up your BEING choice, your ego will also be busy, using every sort of
device in its book of tricks attempting to get you back into the old
box.
Ego points to the current
circumstances with the intention of proving to you that the change you
want isn't working and it uses fear, self-doubt and mind chatter in its
effort to get you back into the old box.
Ego is also capable of
attracting the negative results you don't want in order to distract you
and make you believe that your new BEING choice is not the way to go.
Anyone not aware of ego's
tactics and tricks will easily fall prey to its determined efforts to
sabotage that intended change. To find your way past that resistance,
you'll need some powerful tools. So,
here's what you must do to make it past ego resistance:
-
Stay objective by
remembering frequently that you are not your ego
-
Stay alert, always aware
of the mind chatter
-
Use the Power Pause to
replace any negative fearful thoughts
-
Join forces with a
support group (Powerpact) that will keep you on purpose for staying
out of the box
The first powerful
stay-out-of-the-box tool is to keep reminding yourself that you are not
your ego. Only in that way can you stay objective in the face of the
evidence ego throws at you. To acquire objectivity, give your ego a nick
name. Talk to it when you're feeling emotionally let down.
Once you've stepped back from
the problem to take the broader view, you've put yourself back in
charge. Then perhaps, you can shed the light of truth on ego's fears and
take them away. This is a little like turning on the light in a closet
to show your six-year old inner child that there's no boogie man in
there.
The next thing you can do to
stay out of the box is to pay closer attention to the mind chatter,
intent on replacing every fearful thought with a positive thought based
on your vision of life outside the box. Your tool for this purpose is
the Power Pause.
Next join a Powerpact support
group made up of like minded individuals who are also intent on choosing
a new way of being and staying out of their boxes.

Chapter 2 - Our Resistance To Change

You Have Become Your Reasons
To fully understand the extent of our
resistance to giving up our reasons, we must realize that, for our ego,
those reasons are more than just reasons. They are also more than just
our opinion about how rich people got rich and why we wouldn't want to
be one of them.
Those reasons set us apart, identify and
individualize us
as the the person we perceive ourselves to be.
On the surface, giving up a reason would appear
to be the simple act of changing our minds. But, our ego doesn't see it
that way. For the ego, those reasons are who we are and giving them up
would mean sacrificing our identity.
If you would take all the reasons for the
things you do or don't do and bind them all together into one package,
you would find that package to be you.
From the ego's standpoint, those assembled
reasons
are who you have chosen to be in your
relationship
to the people, money and circumstances in your
life.
You will have trouble giving up the reasons for
your lack of wealth, because you, as your ego, have become your
reasons...
