How You Created Your Box
By choosing who you will BE, you've created your box.
Nothing wrong with having an opinion or coming to a conclusion, except that once
we take a stand on anything, we tend to forget that it's just an assumption.
We consider our opinion as fact, convinced that our
point of view is the way life is, and then we're stuck with that viewpoint as
our reality. Once that concept of reality becomes real to us, we're boxed in and
there's no way out, or so it seems.
The field cannot be well seen from within the field.
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Pg. 51, "Being The Solution"
Being human means you have a point of
view, and because you have a viewpoint, you live in a box. That's just the way
the game is set up. You create your box, call it reality, and then you get to
experience what it's like BEING you in that reality. You will remain in that
box until it becomes too uncomfortable for you.
To come out of your box you must choose
out by changing your mind about who you will be in a new reality. You'll find
the power for that change of mind when you admit to yourself that you put
yourself into that box and then decide that you're ready to choose out.
Outgrown your box?
The Game of Life is set up so that, from time to time, our
once comfortable box becomes uncomfortable and confining. After a while, even a
feather bed no longer feels cushy. Discomfort forces us out of our box,
demanding that we build a bigger, more comfortable box.
Fulfilling life's true purpose
(self-discovery) requires growing our self-image. Spirit in us mandates this
growth in consciousness.
To stay on track with our expanding
consciousness, we must occasionally, pass GO (be transformed). That means
trading in our old game piece in favor of a larger, more self-aware piece
(enhanced self-image) so we can be allowed to play the game at the next level.
We do have a choice in the matter of
whether or not we come out of our box.
So, what's keeping you in that box?
So, what do you want from life that you don't have? Think
about that want for a moment, and ask yourself, "Why don't I already have it?
What's keeping me from just choosing to live my live more abundantly in that
way, right now?"
If you don't know, I have an answer for
you. The reason you can't choose the good life, right now, is because you live
in a box. We all do. And since that in-a-box reality concept limits what you may
have, it should be obvious to you that having the life you really want would
require a big-time change in your reality concept.
And, of course, the first step you must
take down the path to changing your reality concept would be for you to accept
the fact that your reality is merely a concept, and concepts can be changed.
That's right, your reality is built out
of nothing more substantial than attitudes, opinions and points of view, that
once changed, will change your reality. In short, you could change your reality
and have what you want by merely changing your mind. Sound's simple doesn't it?
What stand between you and choosing
the good life?
The exit out of your box is being
guarded by an expert at keeping you in that box. Your ego guards your
self-concept and your concept of reality with its life. How good is ego at its
job? According to statistics, about 85% who attempt a quality of life change
don't make it, because egos are that good at keeping the gate closed on that
box.

You will remain in that box until it becomes too
uncomfortable to stay. To come out of your box, you must choose out by
changing your mind about who you will BE in a new reality. You'll find the power
for that change of mind when you admit to yourself that you put yourself into
that box and then decide that you're ready to choose out.

Chapter 1 - The Magic of Being
Transformed
from my book
"So, Why Aren't You Rich?" -
Pg. 25
Only A Few Are
Willing
Everyone wants more from life, but there's a
price to pay. Only a few are willing to pay it: To have what you want
from life, you must first give up being the one who doesn't have it.
Before you can choose to be rich, you must give
up your chosen role as a poor person. If you have coffee in your cup and
you want tea, you must first pour out the coffee.
This simple solution to our problems of need
seems too good to be true. It even sound easy, but it is not.
Giving up being who you are
so that you can become who you want to be,
is the most difficult step in the
transformation process.
