Don't Fault Your Ego For
Resisting Change
What most of us fail to notice is that
our reality is an illusion built out of attitudes, opinions and points of view.
And that reality will be REAL for us as long as we choose to hang on to that
perception of reality.
The best part about living a life that
is only an illusion, is that we have the option at any time, of changing that
illusion. To change your reality (create a different illusion), just change your
point of view about it.
Poverty in any form (lack of love,
health, wealth or happiness) is an attitude, not the material condition it
appears to be.
To transform the quality of your life,
make the decision, right now, to change your perception (your reality), about
that which you seem to lack.
I say seem to lack, because your lack
is merely the illusion you maintain, because that's your reality (for now). Lack
in any form, is merely your perception of reality.
So, how do you change that reality?
Begin by seeing yourself as the giver of that which you seem to lack. Once you
become the source of it, it's yours automatically.
If there's something you want from life
that you don't have, prime your prosperity pump by finding enough of what you
didn't think you have and then give it away. You will be amazed how your new
ATTITUDE changes your reality.
Your ego will try to bring you back to
the current concept of reality by finding a number of ways to remind you that
you're poor. Don't ignore your ego. Acknowledge it and tell your ego that you
are changing your reality.
To understand the ego's fear of change,
we need first to realize that the ego is not programmed to think objectively
about our ideas. It reasons subjectively, reacting fearfully to any change of
mind because it perceives itself as that endangered idea.
The truth is, that we are not our
ideas, as our ego would have us believe. We are instead, the one who has those
ideas. Set aside the ego's point of view and think of yourself as a spiritual
being experiencing a material reality through the ego's ability to demonstrate
that reality for us. Then turn in that old reality in favor of a new and
prosperous one.
And don't fault the ego for resisting
change. Without the ego, spirit would have no place to experience a material
reality.
