Hi %$firstname$% -
Worry Is A Dangerous Pastime
Worry is imagination, dangerously misused.
Why would I call worry dangerous? Because our
thoughts not only create our reality; they are our reality!
So, by imagining the worst, you set the state for that
feared outcome to happen. When it happens, your worry then becomes a
self-fulfilled prophesy.
But what I'd also like you to see is that not only does
worry tend to create the happening of whatever you are worried about, worry IS your
reality in that moment of worrying.
You and I experience life only in the reality of the
moment. We truly live only in the now, and although it may seem otherwise, now
is all we really ever have. What you make of the now IS your reality -- your
life.
The advantage of being human, however, is that you have
the power in any moment of NOW to choose who you will BE in that moment. And in
order to make THAT your reality, you need only maintain that BEING choice until
the Universe gets that that's who you really are. IT then, brings you more of
the same. This is just the way life works -- realize it or not.
This is a spiritual law, The Law of Attraction,
in action -- To him who hath it shall be given
and he shall have even more abundance.
Along that same line, we've been discussing The
BEING Law -- We become what we think about,
for quite some time now. ...as in, you can change what belongs in your
life by changing who you are, and you can change who you are by changing the
pattern of your thinking. I hope you can see that you only need to be in charge
of one thought at a time.
And I hope you've accepted that spiritual law,
The
BEING Law as the governing principle in your life, because it is. You have become
what you thought about and what you have now is as a result of those thoughts.
And once you change the pattern of your thinking, you've been transformed
to experience life in a brand new reality.
But, transformation as you know is a difficult process,
because you and I have egos that do not want us being transformed. When you try
to change your circumstances, your ego is a powerful adversary, powerful because
it knows more about you than you may know about yourself.
Ego's job in life is to maintain status quo. And ego is
obviously good at it's job, because it has you convinced that the illusion of
lack you're calling reality is for real. Believe
me, if you are experiencing a condition of lack, your experience is really only
an illusion!
Let's look
again at how that reality illusion got created.
I've always
said, a thought is just a thought until the ego buys into it to make it your
experience of reality, but now I believe that the thought IS your reality.
For example, if you think you are poor, and that
thought makes you feel poor, then being poor and feeling poor is your reality
right then. What started out as just a thought, brought on a feeling and then
feeling poor became the reality of the moment.
I want you to see that feeling poor not only creates
the reality of poverty, it IS that reality. And having become your reality it
becomes ego's job to make sure your experience of life matches that poverty
reality in every way.
Wow! With a random thought, you just created the box in
which you live. Think how powerful that makes you! And also realize that another
thought could take you out of that box and change your reality -- that is of
course, if your ego will let you go there.
