Hi %$firstname$% -
How To Stop The Drain On Your Personal Power
We give away our power every time we
tell ourselves a victim story and we do this habitually. In this issue of
Richbits, I
would like to show you how you can add to your personal power daily.
Personal
power shows up in the form of self-confidence.
Your true purpose in life is to finally
come to know who you really are -- an individualization of God. You'll make that
discovery only as you learn to allow that power to express through you as you.
What that power looks like in you is self-confidence.
You exercise the God power in you every
time you step out of the box to make a new being choice. Exercising that power
in you is like exercising your muscles. Your muscles grow stronger and more powerful
through use, as does our God power.
What you may not have realized, is that
every decision to DO, requires that you first make a BEING choice. You won't be
DOING what needs to be done without first making the appropriate being choice.
Think about it!
Every reaction you have to life is a
being choice. No matter what happens, the very first thing you do is decide who
you will be under the circumstances. You do that automatically and most of the
time unconsciously. Choosing to be a victim is a being choice, but not an
empowering choice.
Every decision you make in life, even
the little ones, requires that you first make a BEING choice. Every thought you
have is your way of choosing who you will be in that moment. What I want you to
see here, is that choosing who to BE is exercising your God power.
But there are two ways you can use that
power. You can make empowering or disempowering decisions.
For instance, you render yourself
powerless each time you choose to be a victim of the moment or the
circumstances. If while in traffic, you become angry or upset if someone cuts
you off or they are driving to slow, you are a victim of the moment. You have
chosen to be angry and upset. You can just as easily choose to remain calm and
give no power to the incident. You become more powerful each time you step up to
the plate being the one who can solve the problem or choose not to make
something a problem.
Since our mission here is to make you
ten times more self-confident, try the following exercise for a week. To stop
the power drain, use your decision making powers consciously.
Each day, for the next week, pay
attention to each decision you make. You'll be making hundreds of minor
decisions each day and maybe some major decisions. You'll be amazed at how many
decisions are required in a day once you begin to pay attention.
All I want you to do this week is
become aware of each decision made, big or small, even when you choose what you
want for dessert. And with each of your doing decisions, I want you to notice
that you've first made a being choice and then a doing decision.
The purpose of this exercise is to
empower you. Your God power is exercised through making being choices
consciously and powerfully. With each conscious being choice made, you've
exercised that muscle making it stronger. And while in the process of making
being choices consciously throughout the day, it is even more empowering if
you'll ask yourself each time, is this really who I want to be?
