Review: Chapter Seven
How to Create A Burning
Desire.

In seeking an example that would help you
understand the importance of a burning desire, I'm reminded of the story about
a man seeking wisdom who asked a monk to enlighten him.
The monk responded by taking the man out on
the lake, where he instructed him to jump out of the boat. Then, when the man
tried to get back into the boat, the monk pushed his head under the water and
held it there for quite a long while.
The man came up fighting mad, sputtering
and gasping for air. Angrily he asked,
"Why did
you do that?"
The monk replied,
"When
you come to me wanting a spiritual awakening as desperately as you wanted air
just now, I will give you enlightenment."
When you want a solution for your problem
as desperately as that man wanted air, you'll have no trouble with finding
your way past the problem to its solution. And having chosen your BEING
solution to that problem, your Inner Light will just naturally shine brighter.
With each new BEING choice, you'll find further enlightenment.
