Rediscover Your Power Of Choice
And the World is Yours
On a Silver platter
Life is about choice
But our choices are not always what they seem. For instance, you may think you are in the process of deciding what you want, when in fact, you are actually choosing to BE the one who can have what you really want. God gave you and I the power to choose who we would BE, and we’ve been using that power all our lives, totally unaware of the true significance of using Being power to have what we want. In most cases, we make the mistake of assuming that choosing is about deciding what we want.
But, that’s not what really happens, for instance, in your moment of choosing to buy a new car. When you went looking at new cars, you thought you were only trying to decide which make and style of car you wanted so you could pick your favorite color and order it, but that probably wasn’t true.
When you were kicking tires, telling the car salesman you were just looking, what you really meant was, that you hadn’t yet made it okay for you to have that new car. Think about those times when you were really ready to buy that new car, and you’ll realize just how certain you were once you’d made it okay to have it. On those occasions, if you’ll recall, it took you about ten minutes to decide on the make, color and style.
The most important step
For most of your major decisions in life, you’ve taken and then overlooked the most important step in the process of choice. Before you can choose which car to buy, you must first decide you’re worth it and then choose to BE the one who can have a new car. And often, after having taken the BEING step, we tend to forget that we used our BEING power to manifest the results we wanted. We forget, because our ego doesn’t want us aware that we have the power to change our minds about who we will BE.
Whenever it’s time to choose something you seriously want from life, you’d be wise to remind yourself that the real first choice to be made is in choosing to BE the one who can have it. Each time you consciously make a new choice about who you will BE, you actually gain a great deal in personal power. You empower yourself each time you say, “I’m worth it and I’m choosing it!”
Life is about BEING choices
The Game of Life has been set up, so that knowing yourself and what you want from life requires a conscious, determined decision from time to time, to BE whoever you would need to BE in order to have your life BE the way you want it. Following your decision to BE, you will be proving that’s who you are to yourself by choosing to DO whatever you need to DO for as long as necessary for HAVING life BE that great for you.
To go from poor to rich, you must first emphatically resolve that you will no longer be poor, and then, with powerful determination, choose to see yourself as worthy of BEING rich. Your transformation from poor to rich begins with choosing to BE rich and continues with the process of BEING and BECOMING rich. When you can see that you are actually doing something with the expressed purpose of making yourself richer, you will know you’re on the right track—that you’ve actually chosen to BE rich.
Doing is BEING in action.
Without the DOING, the BEING is a pipe dream.
BEING and becoming
The BEING and becoming process might best be explained by the example of planting two different types of seeds in your garden. Let’s say you plant tomato and cucumber seeds. The tomato seed drawS a different set of ingredients from the soil than does the seed that becomes a cucumber vine, yet the soil in your garden is the same for each of them. The power of the seed is in the BEING.
Choosing to be rich is like planting a “I’m gonna be rich” seed in the garden of your mind. Once you’ve chosen to be rich, everything that belongs with your new BEING choice becomes available to you in the form of opportunities. You’ll find opportunities to save money, to invest your saved money, and you will find ways that you could increase your income. These are new options, that were not available before you chose, and these become new choices you must make on your way toward becoming rich.
But you still have to say “Yes” to the opportunities
Choosing to be rich does not automatically present you with riches on a silver platter; the Universe provides you with opportunities, only. These new possibilities are a sort of test in the Game of Life, a way for you to learn whether or not you are truly serious about becoming rich. If you can’t choose and get excited about taking one of these opportunities offered, you must conclude that you are not serious about becoming rich.
After the initial choice, you must still choose again and again in the BEING and becoming process. There will be a new choice to make each time you come to a fork in the road, each time an opportunity for becoming rich becomes available. If you have truly chosen to BE rich you’ll have no problem choosing appropriate opportunities. Like the tomato seed knows what it needs to grow a tomato plant, you will automatically know what belongs with the new you and you’ll choose it!
If you are not BEING and becoming rich in all areas of your life, including growing spiritually, it’s because you haven’t been playing the Game of Life the way it was set up. It was set up to promote your growth in consciousness, and you probably haven’t been aware that life’s true purpose is self-discovery through exercising your power of choice.
Life is about choices,
and knowing what to choose is a self-discovery process.
